Privacy policy

Version dated August 4, 2026

This is the full account of what happens to your data on the World Connection Day website. In short: we collect the bare minimum, use it only for the day on November 21, 2026, share it with nobody and delete it once the campaign is over or as soon as you ask.

1. Data controller

The data controller (operator) is the World Connection Day project. For anything to do with your data, write to @valklimoff on Instagram. We answer data requests within 30 days.

2. What data we collect and why

We deliberately collect nothing more: no name, no phone number, no date of birth.

3. The test

The test is scored right in your browser: your answers are not sent anywhere and are not stored by us. The result (your color) is kept locally on your device (localStorage) until you decide to share it or clear your browser data.

4. Legal basis

The only basis for processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the equivalent personal data provisions of your country). Every form on the site is voluntary: you can use the site, the test and the map without leaving any data at all. You can withdraw your consent at any moment (see section 7) — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

5. Retention periods

We delete all campaign data no later than December 31, 2026 — once the day has taken place. Sooner, if you ask.

Technical server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days.

6. Where the data is stored and who it goes to

The data is stored on the project's secure server and is available only to the World Connection Day team. We do not sell data, do not pass it on to third parties and do not use it for advertising. If your data travels outside your country, it is protected the same way everywhere: we collect the bare minimum, keep it briefly and delete it on first request.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR and the equivalent laws of your country (LGPD in Brazil, APPI in Japan and others) you can at any time:

For any of these, write to @valklimoff and mention the contact you left on the site.

8. Cookies and trackers

There are no ad trackers, third-party analytics or cookie banner on this site — because there would be nothing to put in the banner. We only use your browser's localStorage to save the color from the test (functional storage; it never reaches us). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the map from CARTO's open tiles: those services see a standard browser request (your IP), just as they would when any image on the internet loads.

9. Age

The site is not intended for children under 16. If you are under 16, do not leave your contact details in the forms; ask an adult to take part together with you.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. Substantial changes will not be applied to data collected before them without new consent.
